Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

This 9 day journey starts with overnight stops in Osceola, Iowa, and Liberal, Kansas.

The next day, we will travel across the panhandle of Oklahoma and a corner of Texas before entering the “Land of Enchantment”…New Mexico!

Once in Albuquerque, you’ll learn is called the Balloon Capitol
of the World. We’ll depart for an early morning transfer from the hotel to see
the Dawn Patrol show in the Chasers Club. Just at dawn when the
winds are calmest, we’ll watch the Mass Ascension in a rainbow
of colors and a variety of shapes at the world-famous Albuquerque
Balloon Fiesta.

Santa Fe awaits you the next day, with attractions that include the Turquoise Trail, Madrid, Santa Fe Plaza, and many more. Our day will conclude back in Albequerque to enjoy some wonderful New Mexico cuisine.

The next day we will make our way into the majestic Sandia Mountains
and climb aboard the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway to the mountain’s
10,378-foot summit, affording thrilling panoramic views of the city
and the Rio Grande Valley. After soaking in at the top of the Sandia’s
we will make our way along Route 66 toward Texas, including a stop at Cadillac Ranch, and ending in Amarillo.

The following day we’ll continue our journey eastward to Elk City for a tour of the National Route 66 Museum. From there we’ll travel to Oklahoma City, with stops at the Bricktown Area and National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. We’ll also enjoy POPS and conclude our day in Tulsa with a visit to Mother Road Market.

Our southwest adventure will conclude in Claremore for a tour of the Will Rogers Museum. We’ll stop for the night in St. Louis and make our way home from there.
